Revengeseekerz (2025)

Revengeseekerz pulls Jane Remover back toward denser, more overtly electronic production after the guitar-heavy detour of Census Designated, without abandoning the more developed songwriting she'd picked up along the way. "Dancing with Your Eyes Closed" pairs a driving, club-adjacent beat with a melodic vocal hook that stays legible even as the production around it gets more chaotic. The record moves quickly between moods and textures, treating its own restlessness as a structural principle rather than a lack of focus. It's a record that folds her hyperpop origins and her more recent guitar-based songwriting into a single, still-evolving sound.

Revengeseekerz · 2025

Jane Remover began releasing music as a teenager within the same online digicore and hyperpop scene that produced artists like underscores, building an early catalog defined by distorted, maximalist production and unusually candid lyrics about adolescence and mental health. Frailty (2021) established that sound for a wider audience beyond the scene's original online following.

Census Designated (2023) marked a deliberate stylistic shift, trading much of the earlier hyperpop distortion for a hazier, guitar-driven sound that critics repeatedly compared to shoegaze acts like My Bloody Valentine and Slowdive. Revengeseekerz (2025) shifted again, pulling back toward denser, more club- and hyperpop-adjacent production while keeping the more developed songwriting she'd built up across the intervening records. Still only in her early twenties as of her most recent releases, Jane Remover has already moved through several distinct sonic identities without settling permanently into any one of them. She has spoken candidly in interviews about mental health and the pressures of coming of age publicly online, themes that run through the shifting production styles as consistently as any single sonic signature does.
